My team of photographers and I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Mary Kay and Tyler. The ladies prepared for the day at the Paloosh Salon in Charleston, SC, while the gentlemen prepared at Founder’s Hall at Charles Towne Landing.
After their time at the salon, the ladies dressed at Church Creek Presbyterian. That’s also where we photographed the formal and family images prior to the wedding ceremony. We kept the bride and groom parties separate so they would not see each other before the wedding. As soon as the ladies were done with their pictures, they snuck around the front of the church as the men came around from the back. After the ceremony, the newlyweds had a few quiet moments together in a private room as their guests exited the church and gathered on the front steps for a group picture.
Returning to Founder’s Hall for the reception, Tyler and Mary Kay were re-introduced to their family and friends as husband and wife. Then, they began their first dance as a new couple. I’ve seen the groom dance before, so I must say he did a great job preparing for this dance. They were lovely together. From the marvelous food to the plentiful drinks, everyone enjoyed the reception. The night was filled with dancing, laughter, and love, and ended with a bubble sendoff.
A special thanks to Cory of Idol Image Photography and Dominic of FoKAS for assisting in capturing the day’s events. Their help was invaluable. With numerous activities occurring over the Charleston area, it would’ve been impossible for me to photograph it all myself.
