Wanderlust: Dallas - Part I

During deployment to Antarctica last year I spent more time setting goals for the company and myself.  Most people I speak to about Wanderlust Tableau Photography are surprised to know I speak of the company as a separate entity.  I consider myself an employee of the company, which is why I set goals for both.

One of my personal goals is the Wanderlust Series and subsequent book which I'm aiming to publish in 2018.  I'll go into more detail about the book at another time, but the trip to Dallas was the point where the original idea morphed.  I wanted to have a wider variety of locations in the book and since I don't get to travel as much as I want, I had to push harder to achieve my goal so I began traveling to where the faces are that I want to shoot.

The first attempt at this was in Dallas and that's where I worked with Carmine.  I used my tried and true sources of Model Mayhem and Instagram to contact her, but the original plan for the shoot changed, the day before we were supposed to meet.  Luckily she was open to my idea of "no plan" and we met at the house I rented and shot for a couple hours, which also allowed me the chance to play around with the string lights.
