Wanderlust Tableau Photography | And Then There Were Two

And Then There Were Two

On this journey of mine, as the love of travel has taken over, I've silently yearned to visit all 7 continents.  Was there ever a plan of what to do or see on each, possibly.  Each continent contains a jewel of its own, and much like an oyster, must be opened to gaze upon the wonder inside.

The Wanderlust Series started as a small goal of having photo shoots to track my travels around the world.  After eventually printing some of my images, I gained an appreciation for their physical presence and decided to create a book to house it all.

A challenge from a colleague set me on my current path to completion.  I was content with the locations I'd already visited and photographed in, but wanted to add a few more so the book could be produced late 2017.  "You should cover all 7 continents," he said, "you've already had shoots in Antarctica, a continent most people will never visit."

So here I am.  The book has been postponed to this year because I have two continents left to visit, at least two photo shoots left to do, hundreds of photos to edit, and a book to design.  It will be a lot of work, it will cause me to have many sleepless nights, and it will also cost me a pretty penny.  In the end it's my dream, my goal, and I'm doing it on my own, in my own way.

P.S. As I write this, I'm in an Airbnb in La Paz, Bolivia on the continent of South America.  Then there was one...

Coming in July:  Ending it where it all began
